Summer Sailing Program Starts

The Summer sailing program starts now that the clocks have gone forward giving us an extra hours sailing on Tuesday's with a new later finishing time of 3pm. Thursday sailing starts with a mixed weekly program of Tuning and Practise Sailing in the morning followed by a combined DF96 & DF65 monthly racing series in the afternoon finishing at 3pm.

DF95 Open Meeting - LMYC & MYSA, Round Pond, Kensington, London

East Kent RSC member Martyn Sherman competed in this event, that ran from 9.30am until 3.30pm with a total of 13 entries taking part over the 22 races. Martyn finished 7th overall (results) even though he had to retire from the last race as his remaining transmitter battery went down. This looks like an event that more East Kent members may consider supporting in the future. Well done Martyn a very good result.

Tuesday 26 March, "March Tuesday Series" Event Postponed

The final round of the "March Tuesday Race Series" has been postponed from Tuesday 26 March to Thursday 28 March. All other event details remain unchanged. The postponement has been caused by Ashford Council carrying out two days of work to improve the Conningbrook Lake water filtration system, to aid maintenance of low algae levels through the summer. This will precluded access to the slipway area for the duration of the work.
